Enfim, demos risada e claro, eu e a Kat choramos no final! haha e as crianças ficaram de olhos grudados o tempo inteiro!
A few weeks before Christmas, the new animation by Disney/Pixar was releasead in the movie theaters in the U.S. Tangled, or “Enrolados” in Brazil, it´s a version for the Grimm Brothers’s fairy tale “Rapunzel”. Me, my host mom and the two older boys went to the movies to check what Tangled was all about! Oh, and we had our neighbors with us too! Aidan was super excited to go to the movies with his friends! And we were a litlle bit worried about Keegan, because he had an unsuccesful experience at the movies and we were still potty training him! So, you can imagine what kind of adveture it was waiting for us!
We arrived there on time and instead of getting popcorn and soda, Kat (my host mom) got us some PB&J sandwiches and juice boxes! Everything was set and the movie began!
As I said before, the movie is a version, so some details are not the same as in the Grimm Brothers story. But, the important thing is there: Rapunzel is a girl who lives in a tower and she can´t go out, ´cause the witch who kidnapped her when she was a baby keeps her away from everything. She only has the company of a cute chameleon, called Pascal. One day, a young man finds the tower and meets Rapunzel. The smart girl convinces him to take her out to see the big lanterns festival that happens every year in the town. The King and the Queen offer the party in memory to their daughter who was kidnapped when she was a baby! Ta-daaa! We have a story! Well, I’m not gonna tell more details.. otherwise y’all gonna know all the cute surprises!
We had a lot of fun, and me and Kat also cried in the end (of course, we are women! hahaha). The kids were paying attention at the movie the whole time! (But we had some breaks for potty time, haha). It´s a fun and sweet story. It´s different from the original one, but still good! And well, the original one is kind of scary don´t you think?
If you didn’t watch it yet, go!!! Tangled is another sucessful movie by Disney/Pixar!!
